80 Bibles to members of the South
African Police Service (SAPS)
responsible for manning the various
roadblocks across the country.
Pastor Christo Maree, an Organis-

need that the members had for
someone to pray for them and with
them. Part of my ministry as a
chaplain was to visit members on
duty and support them spiritually with
a devotional and prayer. The idea
then came to me, what about giving

faith of the men and women tasked to
protect the citizens of our country.
“With the handing over of these
Bibles to the SAPS, we pray that
those who are on the front lines, as
well as their families, will find comfort
and strength,” said Rev Shane Fraser,
Regional Head of the Bible Society’s
Northern Region, at the first handover
of Bibles to the SAPS.
